Who is niqwithq?

I'm Niq! A digital native who has grown up with Nintendo, the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, Darkwing Duck and the outdoors (fresh air) in an exciting time called the nineties™. My pronouns are he/him.

I like to read, write, listen to podcasts, play video games, travel and be out in the nature. I love hiking and my Austrian home is just the right place for that. Beyond that, like many of us, I'm a user. But unlike many, to me being a user has a special meaning.

As a teen, I developed an interest in computers. I was introduced to an early version of today's internet. Personal websites were already out there and many people were tinkering with HTML and CSS to figure out what this was all about. It was a time of exploration, a time of self-expression and a time when ads hadn't yet taken over the internet. Back then, I knew that the web is a place where someday, I'll feel right at home.

To this day, software fascinates me. I have a strong conviction that software exists to make our lives better and I believe this is an idea worth fighting for.

And what's with the Q?

That's just my unique way of writing "Nick". Pretty cool, I know.
