Escribir
Writing 50 blog posts in Spanish, while I'm travelling through South America.
About Escribir
I have been learning Spanish ever since I set off on my trip around the world. However, it only really started to make sense to me, when I arrived in a Spanish-speaking country, in my case, Mexico.
In order to motivate myself to keep at it, I decided to start a blog in Spanish. On it, I try to use the little Spanish I know to write very short blog posts. Once per day, as long as I'm in South America. Deepl is my constant companion, since my Spanish is very limited.
I will stay for 50 days in South America, which equals to 50 blog posts in total.
Development
I'm using Neocities to build Escribir.
It's a static web host that pays tribute to Geocities, a famous static web host in the early days of the web.
Writing static HTML takes me back to the good old times, where the tools to build websites were really basic. Of course, my best friend and I hosted a website on Geocities, too!
