Travel Blogging 3ย
The beauty of writing about travel memories.
#75 ยท ยท readLast week, the anniversary of my travel blog passed by unnoticed. I was too preoccupied with a writing block. Too preoccupied with winter depression.
Now that I have noticed it, I've been thinking about my progress.
I'm already back home, my infamous trip around the world over and yet I'm still in the midst of it. These days, I'm writing about travelling in Vietnam, in April of last year. I've fallen so far behind that I sometimes doubt if I can ever catch up. The past week, I could even sense feelings of surrender.
But then, on the way out of a shitty week, a shower thought emerged: Everyday life returned too soon. So soon, that my travel memories faded away with a surprising velocity. Could travel blogging be my remedy?
I can take myself back to the places I have visited. Relive the individual moments. Think the same thoughts again. Travel blogging feels powerful. My remedy to the speed of everyday life. I could go on with my contemplation. But rather than contemplating, shouldn't I just travel blog?
It's time to catch up.
