The slowness and dedication.
#80 ยท ยท readIn a world that has gotten too fast for its own benefit, email poses a nice counterweight. It's slow. So slow, that in times of instant messaging, email has become the new snail mail. It's silent, gentle and yet self-confident, knowing that inherently it holds a deeper message and there's no reason for it to be as loud as social media.
Someone wrote something here, in the comfort of a WYSIWYG editor, which is nothing less than the digital equivalent to writing a letter. The recipient reads this message far away from the buzz, the noise, the splendour. Email is so inconspicuous, so foreign to this fast-paced world of ours, that when someone actually still replies or reaches out via email instead of social media, we can take a step back and fully appreciate: thank you for writing.
